Natural Cosmetics
Many cosmetics are dangerous and can put your health at risk. For example, there are cosmetics that have phthalates that can interfere with your normal hormone activity. Other cosmetic hazards are carcinogens like formaldehyde, lead acetate, mercury and dimethylamine that can wreck havoc on your gastrointestinal system and liver. A lot of substances, a study have found that there are thousands of substances in cosmetics that have not been tested by food and drug ministries.

To be safe, you can do more with natural cosmetics. These items can be found in your home and local grocer. These are safer and natural food items.
For starters, you can utilize fruits and vegetables. A lot of these can be used as cleansers, rinses, and scrubs. For example, you can mix baking soda with peppermint extract to make toothpaste and you can use oils like olive or jojoba to use as hair conditioners or skins moisturizers. Other useful items found in the home that you can use are oatmeal, lemon juice, milk and avocadoes.
You can also make your own bath scrub using coarse sea salt that is blended with olive oil, natural soap and essential oil that is fragrant. To make your own lip balm, you add almond or olive oil and a flavored extract like almond to a melted mix of grated beeswax with honey.
When you do buy cosmetic products, look at the ingredients parts and avoid those that contain dyes, talc, or aluminum starch octenylsuccinate because they have been shown to have adverse health benefits.
